Livery

Talland offers competitively priced full livery for both students and clients (long or short term) and competition livery for those requiring a little extra care and schooling.

Our livery clients have the advantage having access to world class training on site as well as the chance to ride in our first class facilities.

Talland also offers starting and schooling for all types of horses or ponies, as well as advanced dressage and jump training for the more established with international coaches – as well as everything and anything in-between!

Our facilties include:

  • 60m x 60m outdoor school with Show Jumps available, plus some simulated cross-country fences
  • 60m x 40m indoor school with large mirrors and spectating areas
  • Access to beautiful on- and off-road hacking (we are also based fairly close to Cirencester Park for amazing hacking)
  • BHS Cross Country Course (instructor required)
  • Full BE Cross Country Course in hacking distance
  • Excellent access to many BD and BS Competition Venues
  • Competition Preparation, and assistance with competition organisation including transport
  • Secure, alarmed tack room, with storage for trunks and lockers available
  • 24-hour on-site staff
  • Full CCTV in operation
  • Packages can be tailor made to suit horse and riders individual needs to include full care and training, and everything in-between
  • All year round group turnout available
  • Individual turnout available (subject to weather/ ground conditions)

All Hard Feed, Meadow Hay ( up to 10 kg dry weight per day) and Straw bedding as required or if you require shavings, a base bed of 6 bales (1 bale of shavings added per week – additional can be purchased either on a monthly basis, or individually as required).

        • Grooming, (grooming kit required) trimming, tack cleaning and Handling for vet, farrier, saddler, or other health professional
        • Turnout if needed (Individually – weather permitting, or group turnout available 12 months of year) if NO individual turnout is available, then we will exercise 3 times a week inclusive ( or if you use group turnout option)
      • Use of all facilities including 60 x 60 outdoor arena 40 x 60 indoor arena to 8.00, including use of lights, ( supplement for lights after 9pm in winter months), farm hacking, cross-country course (use only permitted with instructional supervision). Local road and off road hacking is also excellent.
    • All worming, vaccinations, routine shoeing, with one of our two farriers and supplementary feeding needs organised for you.
  • Due to our busy competition schedule – we can assist you in getting out to competitions, including your entries, transport and grooming requirements, and training at shows if required.
  • Late night checks and feeds(9pm).   We ask that horses are put away by 9pm to enable them to be groomed and fed by 9.30. If you require to ride after this time, please inform the office each day so we can alter our staff rota accordingly.

Part Livery .

  • Option A) AM Muck out, feed & Hay lunch skip out 7 days a week and turnout etc. Owner does PM Yards. Feeds given PM unless requested otherwise (to reduce anxiety at feed time!).
  • Option B) AM Muck out , lunch and PM skip out 5 days a week. Owner does completely 2 days a week. Feeds & Hay given PM unless requested otherwise (to reduce anxiety at feed time!).

 

  • Use of all facilities including 60 x 60 outdoor arena 40 x 60 indoor arena to 8.00, including use of lights, (supplement for lights after 9.00 in winter months) Farm hacking. Cross country course (use only permitted with instructional supervision). Local road and off road hacking is also excellent.

Student Livery (for full time BHS Students only)

  • Care on the student’s day off. Full livery during student’s holidays.

Grass Livery (Students only)

  • Use of all facilities including 60 x 60 outdoor arena 40 x 60 indoor arena to 8pm, including use of lights ( supplement for lights after 8pm in winter months), farm hacking, cross-country course (use only permitted with instructional supervision). Local road and off road hacking is also excellent.
  • Group turnout with mares/ geldings/ ponies.
  • Hay through winter when in and in field ( not haylage).
  • Hard food November to March  ( available outside this time –  costs on requirements).
  • No stable included.

  • Tacking up £5

  • Rug repairs: As charged by provider.
  • Clipping: £35 per hour. Hire of clippers £20 (to clip yourself)
  • Competition Transport @ £1 per mile/ number of horses on lorry. Driver/ groom @ 1x lesson ( depending on rate of instructor) per half day subject to availability.
  • Lessons (as per normal charges)
  • Worming/ Farrier/ Veterinary & Physio charges.
  • School lighting £5 per night, or £25 per week winter periods – if use required after 8pm.
  • Extra bales of shavings available for £8.50 per bale.
  • Additional Forage: Hay £3 per 5kg haynet/ Haylage £5 per 5kg haynet.
  • Feed supplements/ veterinary products: as charged by provider.
  • Schooling with any member of staff can be arranged as required, either on a one off basis, or regular/ long term as you need.  Please see our price list for details.

 Any breakages to facilities/ equipment will be recharged at cost price

Competition Livery

Short or Long -Term Full schooling, or Competition/ Training Livery available – Each horse’s requirements dealt with on an individual basis.

One lesson per week is included with your regular instructor on your own horse (this however cannot be carried over).
